Best Practices - Michigan Athletic Trainers Society (MATS)

Best Practices

Best practices in health care are commonly accepted and multi discipline recommendations for provision of services based on current research, knowledge, and efficacy. These best practices are often disseminated to membership organizations, health care professionals, and the public by means of position or consensus statements. Best practice documents are constantly revised, modified, and enhanced based on new information or knowledge that is gathered through scientific methods in an effort to guide health care professionals as they interact with patients and clients. MATS and its members utilize the position and consensus statements provided by the National Athletic Trainer’s Association (NATA). These position / consensus statements are developed through collaboration of interdisciplinary task forces and are available as a collection through the NATA website at http://www.nata.org/position-statements or individually through the links below.
