From the Secondary School Committee

Dear Leaders,

For those who I have not yet introduced myself, my name is Molly Matson and I work for Gatorade on the Partner Services Team.  Over the past year, The Gatorade Company, in collaboration with the NATA Secondary School Athletic Trainers Committee (SSATC) have re-established the Gatorade Secondary School Athletic Trainer Award.

As you may know, this award recognizes a certified athletic trainer from each NATA district who has made outstanding contributions in furthering their high school’s athletic care program or the overall profession of secondary school athletic training.  With this award, our goal is to help elevate the role of secondary school athletic trainers and reinforce their important role in athlete safety.  In 2014-2015, we recognized 10 highly deserving secondary school athletic trainers with this award.

We kicked off year two of this award at the 2015 NATA Annual Conference and have begun to spread the message through NATA channels, including the website , social channels and more, but we’re hoping to enlist your help again this year to maintain the momentum and drive entries in your district.

Similar to last year, I’ve attached a document that will help aid in this process. This document contains details about this award, as well as suggested content for district communications via website, social media and e-mail, and a recommended timeline of when and what to communicate.

To ensure your District members are informed and actively applying for the award, we recommend the following immediate next step:

Post award information on your District website, using the following suggested website content:
